Speed improvements in Profiler interface?

Postby pchristm » Thu May 22, 2014 5:50 pm

I am using version 4.0 and it is incredibly slow just navigating the instance details. I turned off the animations and maximized the tree view pane - I do not need to see instance graph at all, I assume it is the thing that is slow as things in older versions did not have this problem. Is there a way to turn off the instance graph?

Thanks,
Patrick

The instance graph does add some additional work for the profiler when navigating the instance details, but most of it is performed in a background thread. Are you running the profiler on a single-core machine?

I'm not sure why thing are slower in version 4.0. We're always working on improving the performance in the profiler, and we have made several improvements in later versions. Would it be possible for you to send us a session file that is slow to navigate? If it's possible, please contact us at support@scitech.se for instructions on how to send us the file.
