Child processes of win service

Postby ifle » Sat May 03, 2014 4:22 pm

Hi,

Thanks for your perfect product.
Will be nice to able profiling child processes opened by win service.
We have .NET process that open child native processes. Each child process run .NET code.
Another question. Is there option attaching to process by process name and not by process id.
I would like configure profiler, that can create session and attach to process by name.

Thanks

The next version of the profiler has the option to profile multiple processes in the same session. This can for instance be child processes of the initially profiled process, or a set of related processes started using Visual Studio (when multiple start projects are configured). This should also work for child processes spawned by a profiled service, even though this is not something we have tested yet.
Best regards,
