Re: No .Net runtime in dump file?

The folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Silverlight\5.1.50907.0 is about 40.4 MB in size with 202 files and 40 folders. the file isn't in there at all However, with the new version you sent me, I get the same prompt asking for the file, but if I click CANCEL this time, it seems to go ahead and ...

Performance profiler

Hi Recently I was trialing the ANTS profiler and then I trialed Memory profiler - I settled (and bought) on memory profiler as I actually found an issue quicker using that than the ANTS application. However what I did notice is that ANTS also do a performance profiler - which I didn't even look at, ...

Re: NmpCore Tool

Hi I have v5.6.29 from the memory profile install you gave me on the other thread. I found that it's actually in the install folder for the main application. :) As you're aware from the other thread I was just trying to import the memory dump I was having issues with, but to no avail (due to silverl...

Re: No .Net runtime in dump file?

Hi Andreas Many thanks for the new version, I've installed this and tried to import the DMP file, it's now prompting me for the .net data access library again. Capture.PNG I've never really used silverlight, but I know it's been depreciated. Checking my own PC I do appear to have silverlight install...

NmpCore Tool

Hi I've found the "NmpCore" tool and downloaded it to have a play around with, given my recent problem (see other thread regarding .net missing file) I thought I would have a play with this, maybe putting this on a clients machine and using this to create .prfsession files - testing locally it seems...

No .Net runtime in dump file?

Hi My trial has expired, but I'm loving the product, and purchased it this morning. :) As I'm still learning about memory dumps and looking at the data I'm a little stumped at this error message. One of our clients were having issues, so I thought I would ask for a memory dump from them - they opene...

Re: Save Session window - v5.6

You're welcome. I can take 100 snapshots no problem and all of them are saved when I save the profile - because they are all ticked by default in the window that pops up. I can see how it's something you forgot to test, take 10 shots, screen looks ok etc. release - we do it all the time as well :) J...

Re: Snapshot name / comments

Hi

Many thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I'm aware of the API, but not got around to playing with it yet, so wasn't sure that is where the comments came from or not.

Snapshot name / comments

Hi As I'm just trialing the profile I have a couple of questions. 1. When I take a snapshot it gives it a number and time - is there any way at that point to give it a name as well ? - I'm currently profiling our very old application (and finding loads of issues with it - thanks to the profiler) but...

Save Session window - v5.6

Hi As I'm currently doing a lot of profiling while I test out the application, I've found that when I decide to save the session I've just done and have over 28 snapshots I've found that the "Save Session" screen when it prompts me to select the snapshots I wish to save, the window is higher than my...

Re: Class Reference itself ?

Hi Andreas, Many thanks for the detailed reply, really appreciate it. As the number of bytes didn't go up each time I opened/closed the form I didn't think it was really an issue, as I said I was just curious at what the <>9 meant and if I should be concerned if I see more of these - now you've expl...
