I am getting there following error when opening a dump file:

No, this is not a known issue. Are you using the latest release of .NET Memory Profiler (3.1.275)?
Is it possible for you to provide use with the memory dump file that causes this problem? If you possible, please contact us at support@scitech.se and we will provide you with instructions on how to upload the memory dump to us.

Did you get any further with this? I am trying out 4.6 and hitting the same error...

We have rewritten most of the code related to memory dump import since v3.1, so I don't think there error you are seeing is caused by the same problem.
To get more information about your error, it would be good if you could provide us with logs from the profiler, or, if possible, the memory dump file that causes the error.
You can create log-files by using the command line below. This will create a set of log-files in the c:\MemProfilerLogs directory.
"C:\Program Files\SciTech\NetMemProfiler4\NetMemProfiler.exe" /log:c:\MemProfilerLogs
Can you send the log-files to support@scitech.se so that we can investigate this further? If you can provide us with the memory dump file, then you can also contact us at support@scitech.se for further information.
