I am trying to profile an application on my machine.
I select the application using File->Profile Application .... Then I go to Profiler->Start. The .NET Profiler displays the message box
"Waiting for profiled process to start". Then the application launches and appears on the screen, but this box does not seem to go away. I cannot do anything after this.
I am using version 2.0.16 and Windows Server 2003.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

.NET Memory Profiler 2.0.16 does not support .NET Framework 2.0 or later. If you are profiling a .NET 2.0 application, the profiler will fail to connect to the profiled process and the "Waiting for profiled process to start" message will no disappear.
.NET Memory Profiler 2.6 is a free upgrade from version 2.0. I suggest that you download this version from http://memprofiler.com/download.aspx. This version supports .NET Framework 2.0, but there can be some problems when identifying static fields, so it might be a good idea to turn off root identification.
