Unable to Attach to process (0x800705B4)

Hey guys,

I'm trying hard to profile an application that has been running for a while and has some good information that I'd like to check. Unfortunately, I cannot connect and the UI returns a generic message.

I found the logs for .NET Memory Profiler and I see this:

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Attacher failed (hr=0x800705b4)

From what I see, 0x800705b4 is a timeout error code. Is there anything that can be done to increase this timeout period?

What version of the profiler are you using? We had a problem with timeouts when attaching and then tried to solve this by retrying the attach. It turned out that retrying the attach did not work correctly, so we changed this again. Now we have a much longer timeout, and we have added the possibility to cancel the attach. The longer timeout was included in version 4.5.207. If you are using an older version, I recommend that you download the latest version from and try again. If you are using v4.5.207 or later, we will have to investigate this further.
