See instance member referencing an object

Post by Olivier Fermy » Fri Jan 27, 2006 8:02 pm

In the window "Root paths", can i have the name of the object's member that references the upper object in the root path ?

I can see the name of the member when it is a static member but i'd like to have the same info for the instance members keeping alive an object. Otherwise i have to scan the members content of the specified instance in order to identify the reference indicated in the root path.

Thanks for the suggestion.

This is actually also on our TODO list, and we will most likely implement it in v3.0

Version 3.0 is (preliminary) scheduled to be released around mid-2006. We will however release preview versions whenever a new major feature is implemented. The first preview version is scheduled to the end of February and will contain the unmanaged resource tracker.

Preview versions will be available to registered users of .NET Memory Profiler.
