I have Windows 7 64 bit, so I assumed I should be installing the 64 bit version of the .NET memory profiler...however when I try to profile a Silverlight application (using html page) it launches 64bit ie, which doesn't support Silverlight....
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a workaround?

No, you are not doing anything wrong. The preview did start the 64-bit Internet Explorer when profiling a Silverlight application. This is a known error and it had already been fixed, but due to our negligence, the fix was not included in the preview. This has now been corrected and you can download the updated installer from http://memprofiler.com/preview
