Awful WPF font rendering

Post by amckenzie » Mon Oct 05, 2015 10:06 am

It seems that starting from version 5.0 the application has awful WPF font rendering. My eyes are bleeding. Please set TextOptions.TextFormattingMode property of appropriate windows to the "Display" value instead of "Ideal".

Thanks for the suggestion to use TextFormattingMode.Display. I have tested this with the profiler, and the text rendering does look better. We will most likely change this in the next release unless we notice any rendering problems. Personally I wouldn't call the "Ideal" setting awful though, and my eyes aren't bleeding :)
