Error when installing version 2.5

When I'm installing version 2.5 I get fatal error saying:"Installation ended prematurely because of an error". I'm using Windows 2000 (SP4) and Visual Studio .Net 2003. Any ideas?

If you're upgrading from a previous version it might be a good idea to uninstall that one first, before installing the new one (make sure that all files are removed from the installation directory). Also if you're using Visual Studio.NET integration, I suggest that you exit Visual Studio.NET before installing the profiler.

If you still have problems, you can try to not enable Visual Studio.NET integration, to see if that affects the problem.

If the suggestions don't work, or if you had to disable Visual Studio.NET integration to get it to work, then please tell us.

I'm not upgrading from previous version and disabling .Net integration didn't help. I tried also rebooting. It seems that installation program doesn't produce any log file which could help. What should I try next?

It's possible to create an installation log file by running the following command:

Msiexec.exe /l* InstallLog.txt /i MemProfiler25Installer.msi

This will create a file named InstallLog.txt in the current directory. If you send that file to support@scitech.se, maybe we can find out why your installation is failing.

I managed to install the program after I copied the installation file to another partition and ran it from there. Log file of failed installation looked like this:

Some addition to previous post: there were enough disk space on both partitions and the temp folder pointed to a correct place. Strange, but it works:)
