Showing the source

Post by markjh » Mon Jul 17, 2006 3:32 pm

The "Show source" option is always disabled for me while using the profiler - no source information is ever presented. I'm running it from within Visual Studio 2005 on debug code. The .Net code is being loaded and executed from an unmanaged application, if that matters.
I was hoping someone could help me out with getting the profiler to work with the source code...

We have seen this problem for some ASP.NET applications. It seems like the profiler fails to locate the debugging information file (pdb) for some assemblies even though it exists. I believe your problem might be caused by the fact that your .NET code is started from an unmanaged application.

We are looking into this problem, and will hopefully include a fix in the next upgrade.
